  4.   Welcome to newest version of Dominoes, now at version 3.0!
  5. This version has been converted into a Carbon application
  6. and now runs natively under OS X, as well as under OS 8.6 
  7. and OS 9.0 with CarbonLib installed.   Dominoes v3.0 is 
  8. Shareware - please try it out, and if you like it, please 
  9. register your copy.  Please note, only Muggins and Draw 
  10. are available in the unregistered version - you must 
  11. register to get access to all other variations.

  13.  Dominoes offers something for the whole range of Domino
  14. players, from people just learning the game, to old veterans
  15. who've played for years.  Here's a brief list of the features
  16. available:
  17.  
  18.  * 12 different games of dominoes supported:  Block, Draw, 
  19.    Muggins, Mexican Train, and many more.
  20.  * Different lead types: "Play in Turn", "Last Domino", etc...
  21.  * Up to three computer opponents.
  22.  * Three skill levels.
  23.  * Intuitive drag and drop interface.

  26. Getting Started:
  27.  
  28. Select the Game you'd like to play from the "Games" menu, and then
  29. start playing!  There are 11 games supported now, each of them with
  30. different rules.  (Open up "Game Rules" for a summary of how the 
  31. current game is played).

  34. Playing Bones:
  35.  
  36. You can play tiles by just dragging them from your hand to an 
  37. open space (denoted an indented region).  Pass and Draw buttons
  38. are available for drawing extra tiles, or passing your turn.

  41. Options:

  43. Under the Options menu, you'll find items that will enable you
  44. to change the current game variations, settings for computer 
  45. players, look and feel of the Dominoes themselves.  You'll
  46. also be able to enable the "Sticky Mouse" option, which is a 
  47. replacement for Drag and Drop, enabling you to click once to 
  48. grab a tile, and click a second time to release it.

  53. Dominoes requires OS X, or
  54. OS 8.5 and above, with CarbonLib installed.

  59. Dominoes is Shareware, with a cost of $19.95.  Try it out for a while,
  60. and if you decide to keep it, please play the registration fee.
  61. Registration is easy, please help keep shareware alive and keep up the
  62. stream of good independant software for the Mac.  When you register,
  63. you will be given a code to turn off the periodic shareware reminder 
  64. messages that will appear during the game.
